Circular Economy Magazine, Inaugural Issue
April 2025
The Inaugural Issue of Circular Economy Magazine emerges as a collaborative platform between Sparx Publishing Group, Circular Economy Leadership Canada (CELC), and the Circular Innovation Council (CIC), strategically timed with the Canadian Circular Economy Summit in Montreal. This premiere edition uniquely blends English and French content, amplifying transformative circular economy narratives across Canada.
art direction, editorial design, project management

My team collaborated with CELC and CIC to curate the editorial lineup. I assisted the ad sales manager by creating the media kit and determining the advertising page count, which allowed me to develop the flatplan. Additionally, I crafted the visual identity for this new magazine spinoff and took on the roles of art director and designer, shaping every layout from cover to cover.

As a spinoff of Make The World Better Magazine, the new design had to distinguish itself while preserving brand familiarity. The spiral motif embodies the Summit’s core themes—information, collaboration, innovation, policy, and investment—weaving a cohesive visual that underscores the interconnectedness of the circular economy. Drawing inspiration from the host city, Montreal, the color palette captures its vibrancy, multiculturalism, and artistic flair through a fusion of nature's tones, cool blues, and striking pinks and purples. The typeface, with its geometric yet approachable style, complements the palette and mirrors Montreal’s forward-thinking, urban character.
